recent thoughts displayed by ink

May 4, 2007: South Coast Plaza

People don't like things that are real, by natural standards, because they decay. They make things, even themselves, out of plastic to prevent it at all cost, that nobody will have to see such a thing. To most people decay is not beautiful. I think that often times it is. Perhaps only for the fact that it proves the thing to be real; true and therefore beautiful. This is not to say that truth is easy to take or necessarily always desirable (after all we were not created with the intention of decay), only that it is at times pleasant to be reminded of the reality in which we live.

I wear things that are beautiful because I hope they will say something about me that I cannot. I would like to be seen a certain way, and therefor I dress in that way.
I suppose I don't like people to think more highly of me than I am, or at least than I think myself.
