seasonal undepression

Today I napped in the sun, read To Kill a Mockingbird, and am going to Trader Joes, then church. Sometimes when I'm lying in the sun I imagine that each ray contains invisible beads of happiness gently sitting on me. Sometimes I also realize that it contains UVA/UBV rays that are harmful to my skin, but that's when I pick up a book and start reading (don't worry, I apply sunscreen, too).

I did another photoshoot with my friends Friday night. It was interesting. In my delerious state of 5 am, after 3 hours sleep the night before, I started taking pictures in the pink blaket Sanrda put over my head. It was just so pretty with the light comming through.

I wonder how my art would look if I was always sleep deprived.

some things

I picked a friend up from the airport on Monday night. He had been in England studying with La Brie (which could be wrong spelling, and I hope I will be forgiven for it).

It was so good to see him after so much time. We got a little turned around in Long Beach, but found Roscoe's and enjoyed chicken and waffles under good conversation.

As I was talking to my mom about it the other day she said, "Relationships are important to you, aren't they?" They are. This semester has let me realize what a priority I place on friendship, over almost anything else in my life. People are so good to me, and I treasure them dearly. Each time I encounter a friend, new or old, I remember the times I felt I had none and feel blessed.

On Wednesday my dear friend Sarah had her birthday, celebrated by our monthly picnic in the park, decadent cupcakes and a dinosaur cake I made for her with a volcano on it. Beauty has never been such in my life.

Who is Virgil? A flanel wearing, bearded killer brewing rootbeer I swear was made in Heaven.

journey (not the band)

This gum tastes a little like baking soda but is so good for your breath! It's also kind of hard.

I listened to Amos Lee as I drove home tonight. It made me want to drive to the city to meet an old friend for coffee and talk about life. If my life were a movie Amos would definately be in the soundtrack.

thoughts.

i've seen some pictures of myself dancing lately. . i'm not sure why i keep doing it.

one of my housemates has a snake, one has a cat, and one is moving in with a pig (liter box trained).

harbor house is actually a great place to study at 10 30 pm. . right before the crowds come.

i love gelatto.

feet are strange, and sometimes look like they have too many toes.

it is my bed time.
