Rainy with a Chance of Cookies

Fortunately, I think that rain in the mountains is beautiful. Even with cold, damp feet, I enjoyed walking through Breckenridge. With something warm to drink, and a vegan peanut butter chocolate chip cookie in my stomach, I meandered around the main street, stopping in a bookstore to browse and buy post cards. Not bad.

It has been wonderful to see family I haven't seen in so long. Seeing my grandpa see me for the first time in years, a cousin I haven't seen since he was born (and is in elementary school), and aunts and uncles that I have been so removed from, have all made me realize that maybe now, at 22, it's time for me to make those trips myself to keep in touch. Or at least write the letters, or make the call.

Thank you, family, for the fun tonight. Let's do it again sometime; say, tomorrow night? Aunt Gail, Uncle Frank, Uncle Scott, and Aunt Becky. . it's your place again. Maybe I'll bring the reading material this time.

Hey...you can do dinner at our place anytime! Including here in the south! Thanks for being such a big part of a great week. And thanks for all the time you spent playing with our peeps. They had a blast...and they love their cousin Megan. And so do we!
(oh...and no...I didn't see the artwork BEFORE the unveil! thanks for that too!)
